Toronto Blue Jays commentator Buck Martinez has been diagnosed with cancer.
The 73 year old former player and manager made the announcement before yesterday’s broadcast.
Martinez will step away from the booth while he receives treatment.
He says he hopes to be back for the stretch run later this season, but for now is asking for privacy for him and his family as he begins treatment.
