A vote was put to the United Nations General Assembly on Russia remaining in on the Human Rights Council.
Countries that voted in favour of kicking Russia out of the UN Human Rights Council include many EU nations like Italy, Germany and UK. Canada, United States and Ukraine also voted for the motion. 93 votes in total were in favour of of removing the Kremlin from the council.
While 24 countries were against that included Algeria, Bolivia and of course Russia.
There were 58 countries that abstained from voting, and those include Brazil, India, Egypt.
Russia is accused of war crimes against Ukrainian civilians from the latest discovery of over 400 people in the town of Bucha. Residents were found shot at close range, tortured, burned as well as bound. Many first hand accounts from journalists on the ground, Red Cross, and other human rights organizations assisting confirmed the atrocities that has been witnessed around the world.
Moscow firmly stands by their position that the bodies are “crisis actors” and the multitude of reports have been faked.
