A family from Dieppe are getting some unexpected attention after attending a Toronto Maple Leafs game in Florida against the Panthers.
Eight year old twins Julianne and Roseanne painted pictures of two of their favourite players Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner and their dogs, along with signs that told of their road trip over 7600 kilometres from Dieppe, New Brunswick Canada.
Paul Legere says they were approached by the Public Relations crew for the Leafs when they spotted the paintings, “We went to the game a little early to watch the warm-ups. The Public relations person for the Leafs asked what we wanted in return for the pictures. We just wanted to show the paintings, and didn’t expect they would offer us something in return.”

The girls were excited to say they were rewarded for their artwork, “We got a puck and a stick from Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner. We’ll keep them as a souvenir.”
When asked about what they hoped the players will do with the paintings, the twins responded, “We hope they hang the paintings up. It makes us feel great and special.”
Photos of the family have been shared on social media.
Their next highlight in Florida, a trip to Disneyworld and a Justin Bieber concert.
“He’s like my favourite singer. I’m so excited,” Julianne and Roseanne said.
The family had planned the trip in January. They’ll be coming home to New Brunswick on Sunday.
Julianne and Roseanne are excited to share their stories with their friends and teachers at École Sainte-Thérèse.
