UNI Financial Cooperation is creating up to 100 jobs with financial support from the provincial government.
The Caraquet-based financial institution is eligible for up to $1.5 million in payroll rebates over the next four years from Opportunities NB.
“We are thrilled to work with companies like UNI to increase competitiveness and foster growth of the New Brunswick business community,” said Arlene Dunn, minister responsible for Opportunities NB.
“I am pleased to see UNI build on their incredible 85 years of business in the province and continue their investment in New Brunswick.”
The new jobs will be in the fields of information technology and business intelligence capabilities; customer and advisory services for individuals and businesses; corporate project management; communications and marketing; compliance; and talent management.
“UNI’s top priority of providing quality service has pushed our financial co-operative to continually adapt to the shifting needs of a fast-changing financial world that continues to evolve,” said Robert Moreau, UNI’s president and CEO.
“As a result of our significant growth, we are actively hiring staff with support from Opportunities NB. This valuable partnership that UNI Financial Cooperation has with Opportunities NB will further our growth as we add to our team of over 1,000 staff across New Brunswick.”
Now marking its 85th anniversary in business, the francophone credit union adopted its present operating name in 2016.
In 2018, UNI Financial paid $1 million for the naming rights of Dieppe’s new multi-purpose arena – known as the UNIplex.
