A couple of construction projects could impact your commute in Greater Saint John this week.
Reversing Falls Bridge in Saint John will be down to one lane from Monday, March 28, through Friday, April 1.
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says jersey barriers are being installed along the curb line to provide more protection to the bridge and the travelling public.
Meanwhile, Gateway Operations says work will continue this week along Route 1 east of the Rothesay Avenue interchange.
Traffic is reduced to a single lane in the eastbound direction between kilometre markers 129 and 132 until April 8.
Temporary traffic stops in both directions will also continue daily up to and including Saturday, April 2.
“Motorists are encouraged to adjust travel times accordingly or plan an alternate route,” said Gateway.
Eastbound and westbound traffic will be stopped near kilometre markers 130 and 132 for up to 30 minutes at a time.
Gateway says the traffic stops are expected to happen up to twice per day in the late morning and/or early afternoon.
