Arkells, The Glorious Sons, and Sloan will be headlining this year’s Area 506 festival in uptown Saint John.
Organizers unveiled the lineup for the three-day festival throughout the day on Friday.
“Like everyone else, we are excited to get back to the festival format this year,” said Ray Gracewood, founder and committee chair for Area 506.
A total of 19 acts are slated to perform during the New Brunswick Day long weekend from July 29 to 31.
Friday’s main stage lineup includes Sloan, k-os, Marian, The Tortoise the Hare & the Millionaire, and Catherine Kennedy.
Saturday will feature The Glorious Sons, The Trews, JJ Wilde, Fake Shark, Jamie Comeau & The Crooked Teeth, Andre Pettipas & The Giants, and Sadie.
Sunday’s lineup includes Arkells, Mother Mother, Haviah Mighty, Wolf Castle, Adyn Townes, Mckinley Morrison & Williams, and Jaclyn Reinhart.
“We have been working hard over the past three years on this lineup, and it will be great to welcome festival attendees back to a format that provides ticketing options to create their own Area 506 experience,” said Gracewood.
Area 506 will offer both general admission and pod-based ticketing options this year. It will be open to all ages, with free admission to those under 12 with adult accompaniment.
This year will also be the first to take place as an extension of the new Waterfront Container Village currently under development on Water Street.
The village will host a number of family-friendly experiences, including a culture stage, experiential activities, food trucks, and a vendor market.
Festival passes went on sale at 5 p.m. Friday. A limited number of early bird passes are available for $149.
General admissions weekend passes are $199 while a limited number of VIP weekend passes are available for $399.
Single-day general admission and VIP tickets are also available, along with 10-person VIP and ultra-VIP pods.
