Two people have been arrested after reports of a possible impaired driver in east Saint John.
Police say they were called to a restaurant on McAllister Drive just after 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
“Officers located a parked car with two occupants. The licence plate did not match the vehicle,” police said in a news release on Friday.
Police said a 25-year-old woman in the car was arrested for allegedly breaching a court order to stay in her residence at all times.
Meanwhile, a 34-year-old man also in the car provided a false name to officers, according to police.
‘Following further investigation, his identity was confirmed and he was arrested for four outstanding warrants,” said the release.
The man and woman are scheduled to appear in court on Friday, March 25.
