Saint John police say a 45-year-old man suffered serious injuries after an alleged robbery.
Officers were called to Cedar Street in the city’s north end just before 5 p.m. Friday.
“On March 19, 2022, the Major Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Cedar Street,” police said in a news release on Monday.
No arrests have been made, according to police, and the incident is not believed to have been random.
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old man was arrested after a weapons call in the uptown area on Friday night.
Police said responded to a Princess Street building after a man reportedly pointed a firearm at another resident during a dispute.
“Police arrested the suspect and later executed a search warrant. The accused has since been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 14, 2022,” said the release.
No Serious Injuries In Crashes
No serious injuries were reported after a pair of collisions in Saint John over the weekend.
Police said a vehicle flipped onto its side on Waterloo Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
A 62-year-old man was arrested at the scene for impaired driving and has a June court date.
There was also a collision between a train and an all-terrain vehicle just after 4 p.m. Saturday in the Station Road area.
“It was a reported that a train had collided with an ATV that was travelling alongside the train tracks,” said the police release.
Police said the two riders jumped from the vehicle before the crash and left the scene before officers arrived. No injuries were reported.
