Tense moments at a west side school on Friday.
In response to a bomb threat, Barnhill Memorial School was evacuated and police conducted a search of the school.
It was deemed safe for students and staff to return.
Zoë Watson, superintendent of Anglophone South School District, told Barnhill families students will return to the school and, after a short recess outside, return to class with dismissal at the regular time.
“Student safety is always our primary concern and we take threats toward our schools seriously. Police will continue to investigate the threat. This incident may impact students differently and we encourage you to speak to them about any concerns or fears they may have,” Watson said.
