Netflix cracking down on subscription sharing.
There’s a new feature that Netflix is trying out in some countries that will charge account holders a little more for sharing it’s services with people outside of their household.
Right now it’s only in trial mode in Chile, Costa Rica and Peru. They have laid out standard and premium plans to add up to two people — with the math working out to be about two to three bucks more.
The streamer already offers tiered pricing in Canada for ranges of basic to premium plans which allows the viewer so many devices, temporary downloads and HD or Ultra HD quality viewing.
Canadians have already had a price increase this year from Netflix, and luckily this testing faze will be bypassing Canada for now.
