Commercial Properties Limited – Maintenance Team Member (Saint John, NB)

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Team Member to join the Commercial Properties Limited team in Saint John, NB.  This position will be responsible for performing facilities maintenance duties that include, but are not limited to:

• Preventative maintenance activities on our building assets and their systems
• Navigate HVAC systems and building controls (Memco, Delta Controls and Automated Logic)
• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment including mechanical, electrical and systems monitoring
• Respond to routine and on-demand service requests
• Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
• General maintenance and repairs
• Participate in and assist with facility-related projects
• Seasonal Building System Switchover/start-up (including boilers & chillers)
• Snow removal and landscaping (mowing) when required

Knowledge and Experience:

• Experience in Facilities Maintenance
• Knowledge of Building Systems
• High school diploma required with trades training, certification or licensing considered an asset
• Professional presentation and positive attitude with a focus on customer service
• Must have a willingness to learn and good work ethic
• Experience performing routine maintenance
• Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification
• Interact well with tenants and other team members
• Mechanically inclined and be adept at equipment repair and troubleshooting considered as an asset
• Strong time management, organizational and follow up skills.
• Comfortable with heights and working on ladders
• Valid drivers license
• Week day shift hours will vary, and this position will be required to be on call, on a rotating basis.
