Job Description
We are recruiting for a Scheduling and Billing Specialist to join the corporate Head Office team in Saint John, NB. Reporting to the Credit & Billing Manager, the Scheduling and Billing Specialist is responsible for the scheduling of all on air announcements, advertising, and promotions, as well as maintaining the accounts receivable process as per the company credit policy. This position interacts with internal departments and external stakeholders including clients and is essential to the smooth operation of the business.
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Scheduling on-air announcements, promotions, and advertising
- Lead process improvement projects for the department
- Create and distribute daily commercial airtime logs for select stations
- Perform daily deposits and balance payments within the system
- Generate and distribute invoices and account statements on a timely basis
- Provide reports and support to stations and their team members
- Regular interaction with clients and ensure accountings are maintained
- Ensure consistency and compliance to process and timelines
- Being part of a team performing continuous process improvement
- Collecting on accounts and performing advertiser and/or collection analysis as required
- Approving sales orders to ensure compliance with credit policies
- Preforming credit assessment on new clients
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary education in a related discipline
- 1-3 Years’ experience in a related role
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines in a high paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Has a desire to learn and is highly adaptable to change
- Computer literacy – working knowledge of MS Office Suite is expected
- Works well independently and as part of a team
