Residents in the Kennebecasis Valley will soon be able to enjoy California-style Mexican food.
Mexicali Rosa’s will open in Quispamsis at the former Pizza Delight location on Hampton Road.
“We’re in the re-fitting stage at the moment, which is the cosmetic work, like, getting the colours on the walls, and the artwork is done, but just like any project it’s hard to put a hard date on it, but early December is the goal to open,” said Chris Grannan, owner of the Grannan Group.
“We’re right in the middle of it now, we’ve done this before, and we’re on schedule, if there are no roadblocks we should be able to accomplish the early December date.”
The outside of the building has a painted mural from artist Jocelyn Galipeau, and Grannan mentioned it has already, “grabbed more attention than I could ever imagine, it’s getting a lot of social media attention, and people are stopping by every day and taking pictures in front of it.”
Grannan added they are currently looking to hire for all positions.
There are seven Mexicali Rosa’s locations in Canada, with a franchise in Moncton, and Halifax.
