The CFL is returning to the line of scrimmage for a 2021 season.
The league’s Board of Governors has voted unanimously on a 14-game regular season that will kick off on August 5.
A full league schedule is expected to be released tomorrow, with the highlight being the 108th Grey Cup, set to occur on December 12 in Hamilton, Ontario.
Each team’s fan attendance will be based on the public health guidelines in their respective province.
“We are on track to receive all of the necessary health and safety approvals, thanks to our tireless medical advisors and staff, and the dedicated government officials who have been working with them,” said Randy Ambrosie, Commissioner of the CFL, “And while the outlook for fans in the stands varies from province to province, we are confident that process is also on the right track.”
Fans have been without Canada’s most competitive football league since the 107th Grey Cup that was held on November 24, 2019.
