Live music will return this summer in a big way on Long Wharf in Saint John.
After a hiatus last year due to the pandemic, the Area 506 music festival comes back over ten weeks this summer starting July 16th.
Founder Ray Gracewood said a lot of work went into creating a line-up that celebrates “the best of Atlantic Canadian talent”.
Gracewood detailed the line-up which includes a comedy show with James Mullinger, Nikki Payne and Saint John’s Grand Theft Bus.
Some of the other performers include Joel Plaskett, Matt Mays, Bahamas and Measha Brueggergosman.
“When I go down the list, I am incredibly happy about the diversity of the line-up. It seems as though everybody has really enjoyed the slow reveal of the line-up. I’ll let you know that Alan Doyle will take the stage on July 30th,” Gracewood said.
Nova Scotia’s Ria Mae, Jen Grant and Jimmy Rankin will perform along with New Brunswick artists Matt Anderson and Jessica Rhaye and the Ramshackle Parade.
Tickets go on sale on June 3rd.
