The ninth season of the Fundy FRINGE Festival will return this August under new leadership.
Drew Murdock will be the new Festival Director, after previously serving as the festival’s technical coordinator since 2018 in addition to video production last fall.
Murdock takes over for Sarah Rankin, who’s served as festival director since 2013. Rankin is credited with helping grow the festival and its brand across Southern New Brunswick.
In a corresponding release on the announcement this week, Saint John Theatre Company Executive Director Stephen Tobias says Murdock has also been managing digital content creation for the SJTC-ARC, (Atlantic Repertory Company) adding he’s confident he will continue to bring ingenuity and a clear creative vision to the FRINGE.
Plans currently have this year’s Fundy FRINGE Festival returning to the BMO Studio Theatre in August, with organizers promising more details to be released in the coming weeks.
