The province added 5403 little New Brunswickers this year.
The most popular names for those new babies were Liam and Olivia.
Olivia has been the most popular names for baby girls for four years in a row.
Other popular baby names were Amelia, Emma, Charlotte, Violet, Ella, Scarlett, Ellie, Ava, Sophie and Mia for the girls.
For the boys, the runners up were Noah, Jack, Jackson, Benjamin, Lincoln, William, Oliver, Thomas and Jacob.
2824 boys and 2579 girls were born in 2020 and those babies have 2200 different names.
Service New Brunswick Minister Mary Wilson offered congratulations to the new parents.
“It has been a challenging year in so many ways, but the arrival of these babies is certainly something to be celebrated,” Wilson said.
