“Are we there yet?”
A parents least favourite thing to hear after “oops” and “uh oh”.
The good news is you can avoid that dreaded question on your next road trip with Bay Ferries! Avoid the six hour drive to Digby by hopping on the Fundy Rose and arriving in just over two hours. From there, you have all of southern Nova Scotia at your fingertips. Minutes from downtown Digby, one hour Yarmouth, under two hours from all of the south shore.
Bay Ferries is making it easier than ever to go out and enjoy the Atlantic Bubble! Instead of worrying about border lineups and having enough change for the toll, you can sit back and relax, as the Fundy Rose takes you across the Bay of Fundy. Put your feet up and close your eyes or go outside and breathe the fresh ocean air as you keep an eye out for whale sightings! Hungry? Not only do you have multiple options on where to eat on board, you also have lots of options on what to eat too! All of the food and beverages are locally sourced. Get a coffee, latte, or chose from a wide variety of loose leaf tea from Sip Café out of Yarmouth. The possibilities are endless on board.
While sailing across on board, I learned so many great things from the crew. The first being that every crew member on board is a local from either side of the Bay. The Captain and their crew know how to navigate the waters better than anyone could. Did you know, that to account for the most powerful tides in the world, the Fundy Rose sails at a slight angle to make sure it doesn’t miss its destination by kilometres!
As far as office views are concerned, the views from the bridge onboard the Fundy Rose is certainly one of the best!
If you’ve always wanted to go and explore southern Nova Scotia but don’t know where to start, Bay Ferries has you covered. You can chose from a variety of great packages that will ensure that all you need to do for your trip is have fun! From golf packages and spa days at the Digby Pines, to historic excursions along Yarmouth and Acadian Shores, Bay Ferries has you covered!
Whether you chose to explore for a day, a week, or even a month, the best part of traveling with Bay Ferries is being minutes away from home when you arrive back in Saint John! So instead of hearing more of “are we there yet?”, the last leg of your travel is done in comfort and in style on the Fundy Rose, followed by a short drive home from the west side. Bay Ferries makes it so easy!
Also got to see the Bluenose II before I left, stayed at the same Inn as Robert Eggers did when they filmed The Lighthouse in Yarmouth, bought dulse from the side of the road, and saw lots of incredible art everywhere we went! pic.twitter.com/3cs9KZeuFe
