A survey of more than 3200 Atlantic Canadians shows most are satisfied with how governments and the health care system have responded to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Narrative Research CEO Margaret Brigley says the support has been overwhelming.
“During challenging times like these, strong leadership is obviously essential in weathering this storm. These results really show that across our region, Atlantic Canadians are confident in the abilities of their leaders.”
Brigley says Atlantic Canadians appear unified in their support regardless of party lines and during a crisis she believes politics should be secondary.
Respondents were very satisfied with their premiers and chief medical officers in delivering key information about the pandemic.
Brigley adds Atlantic Canadians also have a very high level of compliance with directives under the state of emergency.
Virtually all respondents noted how they were practicing physical distancing and staying at home as much as possible.
