Outgoing Conservative leader Andrew Scheer wants Canada to rely on our experts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Scheer has some issues with the federal government relying on the World Health Organization.
“We’ve got serious concerns about the accuracy coming out of the WHO and it is incumbent on this government to explain why they’ve based so many of their decisions on the WHO,” Scheer said.
The leader of the federal Conservatives is also upset the Canadian representative from WHO didn’t speak at a government committee on COVID-19.
Scheer is again calling on more oversight by the opposition on the federal government’s COVID-19 related decisions. He wants a form of the House of Commons to resume throughout the pandemic so they can question the Liberal government’s actions.
