Police say a man is facing charges after a dispute over self-isolation in Rothesay on Thursday morning.
The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force says officers were called to a home on Hampton Road shortly before 11:30 a.m.
“The occupants there were in a dispute over two people who were not properly self-isolating after international travel,” said police in a statement.
Police say a man was arrested for assault “by purposely coughing in someone’s face while feeling ill” and uttering threats.
“The GNB non-compliance branch has been notified,” said police.
The pair of recent travellers are believed to have also been inside the Rothesay post office.
Police say necessary cleaning measures are being undertaken in the post office to ensure it is safe for customer use.
The two returning travellers were returned to their homes, and police say their quarantine will be monitored under provincial regulations.
