New Brunswick is now imposing restrictions on all travel, including anyone coming from neighbouring provinces.
Premier Blaine Higgs explained what constitutes unnecessary travel.
“Unnecessary travel includes non-residents of New Brunswick to make or receive purchases, to visit or for other social purposes,” Higgs said.
Higgs explained the exemptions to the rules regarding unnecessary travel.
“Residents of other provinces who must enter to travel through New Brunswick to work or receive medical treatment, commercial vehicle drivers delivering goods and residents of Campobello Island entering to access essential goods or services,” Higgs said.
Border checks will take place along the provincial borders with Quebec, P.E.I and Nova Scotia.
New Brunswick has implemented restrictions for all travelers who are arriving from outside the province.
