It appears not all Canadians are heeding the advice of health officials and that has the prime minister concerned.
Justin Trudeau said they aren’t ruling out stronger actions to ensure people work from home and those who have returned from a foreign country stay isolated for 14 days.
“We need to take certain steps that wouldn’t be taken in a non-emergent situation, but as I’ve said all options are on the table to keep Canadians safe in these exceptional times,” Trudeau said.
Trudeau urged Canadians to do the right thing as the sooner we curb COVID-19’s spread the sooner things can return to normal.
“‘So if you want things to go back to normal, do your part. Stay home and if you’ve just returned home from abroad, go straight home from the airport and do not leave for at least 14 days, this is not a suggestion,” Trudeau stressed.
