The provincial government has made changes when it comes to ferry service in the wake of COVID-19.
People using any New Brunswick river ferries must remain inside their vehicle while crossing.
The same rules apply when travelling from Deer Island and White Head but, when it comes to Grand Manan, people have to leave their vehicles but are encouraged to wash their hands and practice social distancing.
In an effort to reduce the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus, motor vehicle passengers aboard all New Brunswick river ferries are required to remain in their vehicles while crossing, until further notice.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure suspended the Belleisle Ferry Service which will allow personnel to be placed at other crossings to ensure proper staffing levels.
Traffic will be re-routed through Route 124 and Route 850.
