Day 23 of the federal election campaign focused, in part, on the comments made in Quebec to NDP leader Jagmeet Singh.
A man told Singh he should get rid of his turban.
Singh suggested it the man who confronted him about his turban was “trying to friendly” and was not intending to be mean but it is “hurtful and a lot of Canadians face that all the time.”
Liberal leader Justin Trudeau stated if re-elected, he’ll keep monitoring the fallout in Quebec over a law banning religious attire in provincial government jobs.
Trudeau added he will allow the people to make any changes through the court system.
Also today, Conservative leader Andrew Scheer announced he would make it easier for emergency response crews to qualify for existing tax credits the Conservatives were responsible for.
