The Green Party’s promise to provide free prescription drugs to Canadians will cost $31 billion.

In releasing the cost of the party’s platform leader Elizabeth May explained she wants to make it mandatory for the parliamentary budget office to cost the election promises of all parties.
Tackling money laundering in Canada was on the mind of NDP leader Jagmeet Singh.
Singh explains there are not enough rules on the problem or ways to enforce them.
He points to the money laundering unit of the RCMP where Singh says “not a single officer…is actually working on money laundering… because the Liberals have not made it a priority.”
The Conservatives announced a 20% refundable tax credit for green home improvements.
Leader Andrew Scheer says those eligible renovations would include:
-Installation of high-quality insulation
-Investments in high-efficiency furnaces
-Replacement of doors and windows with more efficient models
-Upgrading of ventilation, heating and cooling systems
-Installation of solar panels
A promise from Justin Trudeau today that a re-elected Liberal government would help Canadians keep their homes up-to-date with energy-saving fixes.
He says it would mean a new interest-free loan of up to $40,000 to make those energy upgrades.
