‘Nothing Suspicious’ In Weekend Death: Police

Saint John police continue to investigate after a body was found on the city’s east side over the weekend.

Police were called to the Little River Reservoir on Saturday and found an unattended vehicle in the parking lot.

After an extensive search of the area, a body was recovered from the water a short time later.

Police spokesperson Jim Hennessy said Tuesday the file is still under investigation by the Major Crime Unit.

“There appears to be nothing suspicious at this point and no public safety threat,” said Hennessy.

Police have not released any other information.
