As the federal election begins, only one political party has a full slate of candidates in New Brunswick.
The Conservatives have nominated candidates in all 10 of the province’s ridings.
The Liberals have candidates in nine of the ridings. All of them held seats in the House of Commons before Parliament was dissolved Wednesday.
The People’s Party of Canada has eight candidates, the Green party has six, and the National Citizens Alliance has nominated candidates in two ridings.
The New Democrats have yet to nominate any candidates in New Brunswick.
Potential candidates have until Sept. 30 to file their nomination papers.
