Now is your chance to learn more about the upcoming deer management program in the Millidgeville area.
The city will hold an open house Wednesday night from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Nick Nicolle Community Centre.
Deer biologist Joe Kennedy will be there to explain how the program will be implemented during this fall’s hunting season.
Council submitted an application to the province in March asking for the program and received the go-ahead a few weeks later.
Under the program, landowners will be able to apply to have a bow hunter come onto their property and shoot one antlerless deer.
It will be up to the Department of Energy and Resource Development to assess each application to ensure there are no land layout or public safety concerns.
