A Minto man has been charged with arson after a fire just outside of Chipman.
Police and firefighters were called to a fire at a wood lot in Coal Creek on Saturday evening.
Mounties say the fire appeared to have been deliberately set.
They say a 28-year-old man was arrested at a Minto residence the next day.
He appeared in court Tuesday and was sent for a 30-day psychiatric evaluation.
The RCMP say their investigation is continuing.
