Give yourself some extra time if you travel along Highway 7 in the Grand Bay-Westfield area.
Crews are tearing up and repaving a section of road between exits 80 and 86.
That means traffic will be slow-going through the area until the work is done.
During an interview in May, Grand Bay-Westfield Mayor Grace Losier described that section of highway as “dastardly and deplorable” and called on the province to do something about it.
Transportation Minister Bill Oliver, who is also the MLA for the area, said the highway was already on their radar for this construction season.
No word from officials how long the work will take.
