The lights are back on for thousands of NB Power customers in Kings and Queens counties.
More than 7,200 customers were affected by Monday morning’s outage, which extended from southwest of Sussex to the Petitcodiac area.
Sheila Lagacé, a spokesperson for NB Power, said crews were able to transfer the customers to an adjacent power supply.
The utility’s website showed all customers had their power restored shortly before noon Monday.
Lagacé said crews are still trying to figure out what caused the outage.
