The Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health is now investigating two more confirmed cases of measles in the Saint John area.
The new cases were confirmed late Tuesday.
It is linked to previous confirmed cases at Kennebecasis Valley High School.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the Saint John area to 11.
In relation to previously confirmed cases, Public Health reminds individuals who were present at the emergency department of the Saint John Regional Hospital on the dates below were potentially exposed to the measles:
- May 19, 10:45 p.m. to 1:35 a.m.
- May 22, 8 p.m. to 11:05 p.m.
- May 24, 9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- May 25, 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“If you or a loved one were present at the Saint John Regional Hospital ER during those times, please continue to self-monitor for symptoms,” said Dr. Jennifer Russell. “If you have any questions or concerns, call Telecare 8-1-1.”
