We are getting a better idea about just how widespread this spring’s flooding has been.
Satellite imagery collected by Service New Brunswick last Thursday shows 16,155 properties had been touched by floodwaters.
The province said 6,786 of those are properties with a house and 2,494 are properties with a cottage.
Close to 800 of the properties have other buildings — like businesses or churches — and the rest are land-only properties.

What we do not know is how many buildings were impacted by flooding. The province says not all buildings on those properties were affected by floodwaters.
