In Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action:
The Saint John Sea Dogs downed the visiting Charlottetown Islanders 6-5 in overtime.
Nicholas Deakin-Poot scored a hat trick, including the game-tying goal late in the third.
Filip Prikryl had the game-winner in OT while Maxim Cajkovic and Jérémie Poirier also scored.
The Sea Dogs host the Moncton Wildcats at 2 p.m. Sunday at Harbour Station.
In the NHL:
John Tavares scored in overtime as Toronto got past Montreal 4-3.
Toronto remains second in the Atlantic with 71 points, just two ahead of Montreal.
Elsewhere, Ottawa beat Winnipeg 5-2, Vancouver edged Calgary 4-3 in a shootout, Edmonton fell to San Jose 5-2, Boston got past the L-A Kings 5-4 in OT, and New Jersey lost to Minnesota 4-2.

The UNB Saint John women fell to Mount Saint Vincent 92-39.
Julia Bennett recorded 12 points for the Seawolves.
