The nominees for the 2019 East Coast Music Awards have been released.
Five artists are up for Country Recording of the Year: Cameron Nickerson, Carolina East, Mallory Johnson, Ryan Cook, and Thomas Stajcer.
Nova Scotia rapper Classified leads the pack with seven nominations, including Album of the Year, Solo Recording of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Video of the Year.

Ben Caplan of Halifax has six nominations, including Solo Recording of the Year, Song of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year.
Fredericton’s Jeremy Dutcher is up for five awards, including Solo Recording of the Year, Contemporary Roots Recording of the Year, Indigenous Artist of the Year, and Rising Star Recording of the Year.
Neon Dreams, Paper Lions, Hillsburn, and Fortunate Ones each have four nominations.
The awards will be handed out in Charlottetown on Sunday, May 6.
