About 20 people remain out of their homes after a fire at an east Saint John apartment building.
Crews were called to the 12-unit building on Reading Crescent shortly after 3 p.m. Monday.
A woman and her daughter were taken to hospital for observation but were later released.
Fire officials contained the flames to a ground-floor apartment, but there is smoke and water damage in other areas.
The Canadian Red Cross says the owners of the building have put the tenants up in hotels for now.
A dozen of them have also received other support from the Red Cross, such as food and personal-care items.
