RCMP say a woman has been arrested after shots were fired at first responders in Dieppe.
Police said it all started after a car went off the road near the Moncton airport on Saturday afternoon.
They said when firefighters, paramedics and officers arrived, they were fired upon by a woman at the scene.
“After approximately 45 minutes, the woman was taken into police custody,” the RCMP said in a news release Saturday evening.
“She was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during her arrest.”

Witness Scott Gallagher said he was driving by with his family when he saw a car crashed into the trees.
Gallant said he went to help the woman inside, who was distressed and did not want him to call for help.
He says when first responders arrived they approached the car and he saw the back window blow out and heard what he believed were two gunshots.
Police say none of the first responders were hurt.
