If you can find a way to put your holiday tasks on hold for a couple of hours, the Nature Conservancy of Canada is hosting an open house this week covering a few topics including the deteriorating Musquash Head lighthouse.
Paula Noel, the program director for New Brunswick, tells us there are many things going on connected to the Musquash Estuary and there’s some urgency because of the condition of the lighthouse.
“It is not in very good shape and that there needs to be some interest shown by the community to kind of start to care for that structure and the area around the lighthouse if we are going to see that protected in the long term,” says Noel.
M-Ps Wayne Long and Karen Ludwig have been invited to take part along with local M-L-A Andrea Anderson-Mason. The meeting is happening in the Lorneville Community Centre from 6 to 8 p-m Monday.
