A Saint John high school senior passionate about youth empowerment has given four of her fellow students a platform to share their own passions with the public.
Marylise Habiyambere is a grade 12 student who organized a Saint John High TEDxYouth speaking event which is happening this evening.
She says having platforms like these are really important but you don’t always see them and they’re not always accessible.
“If you get the chance or have the opportunity to do something like this, it’s definitely just something I felt like I had to take on,” says Habiyambere.
“It’s a very complicated process and it’s not easy to do but I felt really passionate about it.”
The speakers include Saint John high students Maddie Adams-Alexander, Henry Ha, Henry Yang and Hunter Williams .
