Seaside Park Elementary School with its 480 students has been operating since September but the official opening took place this afternoon. Premier Brian Gallant and Education Minister Brian Kenny were in town for the occasion.
The Liberals are stepping up their attacks on Opposition leader Blaine Higgs. Liberal M-L-A Bernard Leblanc of Memramcook-Tantramar says his record as finance minister was nothing to write home about with the provincial government retracting.
The Liberals have also accused Higgs of supporting the L-N-G tax deal which they say cost Saint John taxpayers $82 million over 11 years.
