On Saturday, the owners of a Fredericton business will officially face the Dragons in Toronto.
Jeff Alpaugh is the Co-Founder of a business that makes what he calls the most dangerous dress shirts.
He is confident that his pitch will be good enough to score a deal on the show, Dragon’s Den.
Do you have anything Dangerous in your luggage? Just Dress Shirts. You guys are going on Dragons Den!!!

One of the biggest concerns though, is keeping it a secret, “So, we’ll have our models, and then make our pitch. Once it is over, they’ll leave, and then we’ll talk deal. Then we’ll make a deal on the spot and then go and do some sort of post interview. Then we won’t be able to tell even our buddies on the show who were with us, what happened until it airs.”
Alpaugh says there are six Dragon’s this year, now that Arlene Dickinson has returned to the show, “They aren’t subbing dragon in or out, which I think is going to play out very well for us. Arlene is a big supporter of the troops, and I am a soldier, so I think that is good news for us.”
Whether he makes a deal or not, Alpaugh says as long as the segment airs, it will make an impact, “Dragon’s Den is the type of show, and I know because I am a fan, where people buy products while they’re watching the show. I buy lots of stuff based on watching it on the Dragon’s Den. It does get all of the people who are interested in business and entrepreneurship talking.”
