McKenna is being recognized for his work in Canada and the U.S. to improve children’s access to clean water, food and education.
McKenna has also worked with causes such as United Way, the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the YMCA.
Megan MacDonald of Rothesay will receive the Young Humanitarian award for her involvement with Amnesty International and the Saint John Community Autism Center.
Both awards will be presented at a dinner in the city in November.
