It's Pride week in Saint John and this year it features some new events and old favourites like the parade tomorrow.

Chair Mike Cummings he tells us they held an event where members of the community could share their stories and they had a great turnout with many emotional moments.

He says those who shared their stories have been through it all from living on the street to be uneducated and going to school and some are transitioning their genders.

Cummings adds for the first time the Saint John Sea Dogs will be involved and he says they are happy for what that symbolizes and what it will do for the youth involved in sports calling the Sea Dogs role models in Saint John.

There is a sold out drag show tonight and The 15th annual Pride parade is coming up tomorrow with participants lining up on King Square north (near Service NB) at noon and the parade moves down King Street at 1pm.  Premier Brian Gallant, Mayor Don Darling are also taking part.
