The 16 people chosen to serve are due back in court on Tuesday morning for the start of the trial.
Oland is charged in the 2011 death of his father, Richard Oland, a well-known Saint John businessman.
Dennis Oland was previously convicted in his father’s death but that decision was overturned by the provincial court of appeal and a new trial was ordered.
65 days have been set aside for this trial.
