Traffic is moving normally along Highway One on the west side after repairs were carried out on a sinkhole which forced traffic to be diverted.
We’re told beginning today by Gateway Operations, portions of the acceleration/deceleration lanes in both the eastbound and westbound directions along Highway 1 on the west side near near km 119.7 will be closed. The restrictions are scheduled to be in place for up to 5 consecutive weeks and are necessary to complete repairs to the concrete retaining walls.
Beginning this morning at 6:30 and continuing for the next five days, Champlain Drive close to the intersection of Loch Lomand Road will be reduced to two lanes of traffic in either direction because of construction on the clean drinking water project. One lane will be dropped to allow for heavy equipment to turn.
