Charlotte County is currently buried under snow after the latest Nor’easter touched down last night.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Linda Libby tells us the storm is only half done, “Up until about 7 or 8am this morning, in the Charlotte County and St. Stephen area, 22.1 cms [of snow] was reported by a volunteer in the Chamcook area. Now the storm is going to continue through the day today. “
Libby says the intensity of the snowfall will lessen this afternoon as the winds start to pick up, and we can expect another 8 to 15 cms of snow before it ends tonight around suppertime.
She says the snow may change over to rain, especially for areas along the Bay of Fundy.
Snowfall totals for this latest storm, Libby says, will reach anywhere from 35cms to 50cms of precipitation by Thursday morning, depending on where you live in Charlotte County.
