The Saint John Riptide have a new coach heading into the upcoming National Basketball League season.
Nelson Terroba hails from Texas. He was attracted to the coaching job in Saint John after talking to the local ownership.
Terroba says he got a sense of committment on the teams part to make it work for the community.
Attendance last season for the Riptide was up by 29 per cent.
Terroba says he wants the Riptide this coming season to commit to defending, use the pass, play for each other and take advantage of what the opposing defense gives.
The new season starts in November.
