Saint John police think a theft and attempted break and enter this week at two homes on Sandy Point Road are connected to another break-in on the same street for which two teenagers were arrested.

Sergeant Chuck Breen says police were told by a caller that on Wednesday evening someone tried to break into her house, and that there were footprints in the snow by her basement windows and that both windows had the screens removed but whoever did it wasn't able to get into the home.

Police also think a theft at another home on Sandy Point Road is connected to the 14 and 15 year olds who were arrested.

They were arrested for breaking into a home on Sandy Point Road after the alarm was activated and a police officer followed two sets of fresh footprints in the snow.
