The deadline to file your tax returns is fast approaching.
Every spring, the Canada Revenue Agency holds volunteer tax preparation clinics for those with modest incomes who need some help.
CRA spokesperson Desmond Arseneault says volunteers are able to fill out basic tax returns.
“Training sessions put on by the Canada Revenue Agency are very thorough and detailed. I wouldn’t say rigorous but it does provide sample information and enough knowledge for the volunteers to be able to feel comfortable in preparing these returns,” he says.
The clinics are free and are hosted by various community organizations such as public libraries or Royal Canadian Legion branches.
